Cerba Xpert was established in 2011 under the name Cerba Specimen Services, setting a new benchmark in biological sample logistics. Our initial mission focused on the collection, transportation, storage, and preparation of specimens for clients around the world.
2018: Rapid Growth and Diversification

2020: Joining Forces for Greater Impact
In 2020, Cerba Xpert joined Barc and Histalim to create Cerba Research, establishing ourselves as a leading global company in the performance evaluation of In Vitro Diagnostic and Medical Devices (IVDMDs). 2024: Increasing Cerba Xpert capabilities:
In 2024, Cerba Xpert moved to the Frépillon site—Europe’s largest medical biology laboratory. This strategic relocation included the opening of a state-of-the-art lab dedicated to the validation of innovative IVD techniques.
